Fundación Colección Jumex

The largest private collection of contemporary art in Latin America, the Fundación Coleccion Jumex is a landmark institution. The building itself, with a distinctive sawtooth form designed by the renowned David Chipperfield Architects, has become an icon for the city – but it is the inside that really wows. The foundation holds 1400 square metres of exhibition space, a library, and as storage for an incredible 1800 works. Among this 1800 is works by Rineke Dijkstra, Jeff Koons, and Candida Höfer, proving the collection to be as finely curated as it is wide.

These particular photographic works in the permanent collection are memorable highlights, but you can also find refreshing exhibitions changing every few months, with particular dedication to cutting edge installations by contemporary artists around the world – always drawing locals and visitors alike back to this Miguel Hidalgo location.

Fundación Coleccion Jumex brings the world to Mexico City, and in turn places Mexico City on the world’s stage, making it a destination this is really worth a trip.
